چکیده

Understanding the effects of land-use changes on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) communities may greatly benefit ecosystem conservation and restoration. However, how AMF respond to anthropogenetic change (e.g., from natural ecosystems farmland ecosystems) is still under debate. To enhance preservation vegetation diversity in ancient tea forest (ATF) regions understand influence community acidic soils, composition assembly processes ATF region (soil pH: 3.5–4.2) were investigated. Our results showed that α-diversity indices significantly higher than those conventional plantations (CTP) Forest. Moreover, number indicator species (as virtual taxa, VTX) a remarkable decrease when (12 VTXs) changed Forest (8 CTP (3 VTXs). In addition, neutral dominated assembly, Acaulospora was dominant genus ATF. eliminated process by enhancing environmental filtering effects. The concentrations soil nitrate, TK, Mg 2+ , Cu important factors accounting for change. we found high acidity soils exert an ecological selection community, as only adapt strongly persisted. Overall, our indicated mitigating acidification has potential method improving conserving restoring southwest China. • Land-use enhanced filter effect. Neutral assembly. diminished because strong filter. Human disturbance decreased diversity. spp. are more adaptable highly soils.

Anthropogenic land use shapes the composition and phylogenetic structure of soil arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal communities.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi play an important role in ecosystems, but little is known about how soil AM fungal community composition varies in relation to habitat type and land-use intensity. We molecularly characterized AM fungal communities in soil samples (n = 88) from structurally open (permanent grassland, intensive and sustainable agriculture) and forested habitats (primeval forest ...

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungal Hyphae Alter Soil Bacterial Community and Enhance Polychlorinated Biphenyls Dissipation

We investigated the role of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) hyphae in alternation of soil microbial community and Aroclor 1242 dissipation. A two-compartment rhizobox system with double nylon meshes in the central was employed to exclude the influence of Cucurbita pepo L. root exudates on hyphal compartment soil. To assess the quantitative effect of AMF hyphae on soil microbial community, w...

Phylogenetic and Trait-Based Assembly of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungal Communities

Both competition and environmental filtering are expected to influence the community structure of microbes, but there are few tests of the relative importance of these processes because trait data on these organisms is often difficult to obtain. Using phylogenetic and functional trait information, we tested whether arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungal community composition in an old field was inf...

Relationships Between land Use and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (AM) Spore Abundance in Calcareous Soils

This study was conducted to determine soil properties that correlate with the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) spore numbers in semiarid calcareous soils of Hamadan province in northwestern of Iran. Soil samples from six sites managed differently were collected from a 0 to 30 cm depth. The results showed that land use and management systems had a significant effect on AMF spore number in soi...

Edaphic sorting drives arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal community assembly in a serpentine/nonserpentine mosaic landscape

Serpentine soil generates distinct plant assemblages, but it is not known how this edaphically extreme environment affects arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) assembly or how this may contribute to plant adaptation to serpentine. Our previous studies showed that serpentine and non-serpentine adapted ecotypes of Collinisa sparsiflora associates with distinct AMF assemblages, but a common garden ...
